Condolence: I have known both Bill and his beloved late wife, Carol, for more than fifty years. We met as undergrad students at Michigan State University, and continued our friendship through letters and emails. I live in Il., and I saw Bill several times in the past decade as he came to visit a niece who lived nearby. Bill was a very caring person who loved his family and friends, and was always willing to help anyone. Bill and his companion dog, Rudy, were inseparable, and Rudy will certainly miss those walks and ball throwing sessions. Blessings to the Lucy family.

Dean Lucy's door was always open, and he would greet with you with that big smile and a strong handshake. He always made time for you and let you know that you were important. He was my SCUBA certification diving instructor, and we did our open water dive in Bar Harbor in winter with wetsuits--not for the faint of heart.
