Condolence: My sympathies to the family. Dean Lucy was a wonderful man and a mentor and inspiration to me while I attended the University of Maine. I hope that family members find love and peace in knowing how much everyone thought of him. God Bless.

Condolence: I have known both Bill and his beloved late wife, Carol, for more than fifty years. We met as undergrad students at Michigan State University, and continued our friendship through letters and emails. I live in Il., and I saw Bill several times in the past decade as he came to visit a niece who lived nearby. Bill was a very caring person who loved his family and friends, and was always willing to help anyone. Bill and his companion dog, Rudy, were inseparable, and Rudy will certainly miss those walks and ball throwing sessions. Blessings to the Lucy family.

Condolence: Many of us are sad to hear of Dean Lucy's passing. He was more than a Dean of Students. Dean Lucy's door was always open, and he would greet with you with that big smile and a strong handshake. He always made time for you and let you know that you were important. Dean Lucy was a great friend of DU fraternity, a mentor, and a listener. Dean Lucy will be missed by many! God Bless!!!

Condolence: To the Lucy Family, with deepest sympathies. I do not know you but your Dad was a part of my campus life while attending UMO I the late 70s. He was a great guy to all of us and I am sure I am one of countless students who remember him fondly today.

Condolence: Our thoughts are with Bill's family at this difficult time. I (Joyce) worked with Bill for many years when I was in Student Services and had an office in the student union. Bill was always there to help students and set an example for others at UMaine. He will be truly missed.

Condolence: My deepest condolences. Dean Lucy was a consummate gentleman and a class act. He was my SCUBA certification diving instructor, and we did our open water dive in Bar Harbor in winter with wetsuits--not for the faint of heart. I am grateful to have met and learned from him, and he will be greatly missed.
