Bangor - Sally A. Paradis, 78, died in happy spirits on May 13, 2014, which was the day she was called to heaven. She was born February 23, 1936 in Belfast the daughter of Lewis and Marietta (Kinney) Neal. Sally graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1954. She worked as a CNA at the former Brewer Rehabilitation and living Center for over 10 years. Sally loved to quilt, craft, playing bingo, card games and Yahtzee. She was an avid Red Sox fan and quilting expert. She also loved visiting with her special friends Kelli Pittman and Barbara Roy. Sally was blessed with the gift of a wonderful friend and roommate, Kate Gagnon, who became like family. She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years Donald Paradis. Sally is survived by four sons Ernest Ashlock of Bangor, Lewis Ashlock and his wife Vicky of Yakima, WA, James Paradis and his wife Jessica of Bangor, and David Paradis of Brewer; two daughters Gail Ross of Holden, and Madeleine Ames and her husband Pete of Levant; sister Bessie Jack; twenty three grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday May 19, 2014 at the First Apostolic Church, 14 Parkway South, Brewer with Pastor Wade Townley, officiating. Friends are invited to call from 12pm until time of service. Interment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church fellowship hall following the service.
