Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edwin Lord can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I was very saddened to hear that MAJ Lord had passed. We both shared a desire to give back to the community and our dedication to mentoring our respective students to be better citizens and better individuals while expanding their knowledge of the proud history of these United States along with their life skills. Ed was loved by his students and respected by his peers, his passing leaves a void in all who knew him.

Condolence: I first met Major Lord when I was a Junior at Nokomis Regional High and he always had a really great attitude in the class. It was always great watching that same scene from Full Metal Jacket (which Major knew all the words for) or watching the battles from Gettysburg. He always knew what to say during class and even in the field for Land Navigation he taught very valuable lessons that I still use in the Army today. He was a great man and he'll be greatly missed.

Condolence: I was saddened to read of Edwin's unexpected passing. I first became acquainted with Edwin as a member of Boy Scout Troop #99 when my family moved to SWH in 1968. We enjoyed our school years in Scouts, after school and weekend neighborhood sports games and work at the Moorings restaurant. He was always full of fun and was a good friend. As routinely happens, we drifted apart after high school but I would enjoy reading of Edwin and his family activities in the Bar Harbor Times. I have no doubt that he was a fine officer and a wonderful husband and father. I am grateful for the time that we shared. My condolences to his immediate family, Elsie, Cindy and younger siblings.

Condolence: Dear Elizabeth and family,
I was so saddened to read of Ed's passing. The world is a sadder place. He brought so much joy and laughter to all, who had the honor of knowing him. I was glad that I got to see you both, when visiting Mrs. C.
My deepest condolences to the entire Lord family on your loss of your beloved Ed.
