The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ernest Melvin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

"No Snow Day Today"

I always looked forward to Sundays and having Tinker lean over the pew and ask  this principal, "Any snow days this week?" My girls would laugh and laugh, especially when he asked in May and June. We also enjoyed the stories he told as we brought him back each Sunday to "Winterbury Heights", his home away from home he would say. It was important that we had him back by 12:30, as his meal of the day was being served. I enjoyed my visits with him, catching him up on his church family and we would always end with discussion on his Yankees and my Sox!! Tinker was a "Family Guy" for sure, he would always smile when talking about his children & grandchildren, quite proud indeed!!  My deepest sympathies to Scott & Suanne and your familes. Rest easy my friend, and know that you have touched the lives of many folks at HSCC and will be remembered for a long long time.  I know I know you have more pennants then my Sox but I shall always believe in that team from Fenway Park!!!!!!!!
