Obituary for Calista Sarah "Kit" Goodridge (Hartford)

Calista “Kit” Sarah Goodridge, 88, went to be with her Savior, August 31, 2018, at the HPH Hospice Marliere Care Center, in New Port Richey, FL. She was born April 3, 1930, in Harrington, the oldest daughter of Otis and Helen (Wass) Hartford.

Kit was a member of both the Bangor Baptist Church (now Crosspoint Church) and later in life the Sun Coast Baptist Church, where she volunteered in both churches with AWANA. Throughout her life, her church was her life, and she was very dedicated to children and AWANA.

Kit was predeceased by her husband Darrell Goodridge, and a sister Gwendolyn Reed. She is survived by a daughter, Joy Jordan of Port Richey, FL; sisters, Lillian Phinney and husband Virgil Sr. “Jack” of Bangor, Mae Wilberding and husband Walter of Springfield, MO; a grandson, Joshua Jordan of Port Richey, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Kit will be especially missed by her good friend, Barbara Brown.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 2 PM, Monday, October 8, 2018, at the Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn. Gifts in Kit’s memory may be made to the Sun Coast Baptist Church, 4726 SR 54, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
