EDDINGTON – G. Robert “Bob” Burke, 74, passed away September 26, 2018, at his home, due to natural causes. He was born May 18, 1944, in Masardis, the son of George C. and Edwina G. (Libby) Burke.
Bob moved to the Bangor area where he met the mother of his children, Donna E. (Crane) Burke. Bob worked at GE for many years where he worked as a Maintenance Technician. After he retired, he married his second wife, Helmi (Mann) Burke. In his younger years, Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed the company of his three dogs; Daisy, Mittszee, and Mopsy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Helmi; a brother, Bill Burke; and a brother-in-law, Chet MacDonald. He is survived by a son, Robert Burke; a daughter, Sharon Seymour and husband, Ed; a grandson, Ethan Seymour; sisters, Clarice MacDonald, Joy Phillips and husband, David; and many nieces and nephews.
