Virginia Delle Trundy
WINTERPORT – Virginia D. (Bellows) Trundy, 87, went home to be with her Lord, April 26, 2018, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born November 22, 1930, in Rumford, the daughter of Raymond W. and Celia I. (Knox) Bellows.

Virginia graduated from Rumford High School, Class of 1949. Following graduation, she married Alvin Trundy during the summer of 1949, and together they had four children. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife. Virginia was a stay at home mom while she raised her children. During the early 1970’s, she went back to school and earned a nursing degree, becoming a LPN Nurse. Virginia worked many years at Eastern Maine Medical Center. She ended her nursing career with Acadia Hospital. During retirement, Virginia and Alvin went on a cruise to Alaska which was a special time for both of them. Virginia was a longtime member of the Winterport Baptist Church with her husband. She enjoyed boating, oil painting, sewing, and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Alvin Trundy. She is survived by two sons, Alan Trundy and wife, Arleen of Great Falls, VA, Eric Trundy and wife, Laurel of Brewer; two daughters, Vicki Carr of Millinocket, and Marcia Kelly of Bangor; grandchildren, Sarah Ross and husband, Rob, Brian Trundy, David Carr and wife, Heather, Robin Carr, Paul Carr, Stephen Carr, Andrew Kennedy and wife, Raven, Andrea Walton and husband, Ben, Austin Trundy, Ryan Trundy; several great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Marion Ryan.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport, with Rev. Aaron Martin, pastor of the Winterport Baptist Church, officiating. Those who wish to remember Virginia in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Winterport Baptist Church, 100 Coles Corner Rd, Winterport, ME 04496.
