Obituary for Jacqueline J. Tilford

BANGOR - Jacqueline J. Tilford, 82, died March 18, 2018, at the Westgate Center for Rehabilitation & Alzheimer’s Care. She was born December 28, 1935, in Great Falls, Montana, the second child of Roger Wellington Berry and Mary Ethel Novotny (Berry).

Jacqueline attended Ursuline Academy and graduated from Central Catholic High School. She met and married the love of her life, McKinley Williams and soon moved their family to the Los Angeles, California area where Jacqueline enrolled in the nursing program at Compton College and she received her LVN license. Jacqueline later met and married Arnold Tilford and raised seven foster children. Jacqueline enjoyed playing the piano, giving lessons to many of the neighborhood children, and she especially loved to sing which was one of her greatest passions.

The family would like to thank the staff at Westgate Center and Beacon Hospice for the love and care shown to Jacqueline.

In addition to her parents, Jacqueline was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Wallace Berry.

Jacqueline is survived by her children, Anita Marie Williams, McKinley Williams, Mary Jean Williams, John Lawrence Williams and his wife, Cassandra, Herbert Lester Williams, Deborah Denise Reed-Williams and her husband, Douglas; sister, Jeanni Allison King; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and many friends in Palmdale and Lancaster, CA.
