Phyllis D.  Freese (Bailey)
Orono – Phyllis D. (Bailey) Freese, 84, died January 25, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bangor, March 8, 1933, the daughter of Russell M. and Doris (Drummond) Bailey.

Phyllis was a true animal lover. She would always make sure the birds around her house were fed, as well as all the other animals that would come around. Phyllis loved cooking and would often make cookies or a cake for people that had helped her in some way. She also enjoyed making crafts and spending time gardening. Phyllis was very proud to be able to stay home and take care of her children, however, she also worked as a newspaper reporter, trucking dispatcher, and a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, William L. Freese III. She is survived by her son, Michael S. Freese and his wife, Sheila of Bradley; two daughters, Kimberlee Carter and her companion, Wayne Beach of Lincoln, and Tamera L. Floyd and her husband, Jeffrey of Rochester, NH; grandchildren, Paul Crabtree of Eddington, Donald Crabtree of Brewer, Felisha Carter of Lincoln, and Nakita Floyd of Rochester, NH; two very close great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Crabtree; sister, Janice Flagg and her husband, William of Sedgewick; brother, Lawrence Bailey and his wife, Linda of Stroudsburg, PA several other great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
