Jean A.  Spencer (Mushrow)
Jean A. Spencer, 82, passed away peacefully, November 28, 2017, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 8, 1935, in Orient the daughter of George and Grace (Peters) Mushrow. Jean was a dedicated homemaker and could usually be seen working in her raspberry patch, her vegetable garden, her beautiful flower gardens or mowing her front lawn. Jean provided childcare services for many years and loved all the children she took care of. She loved all animals, most recently you could see her walking her Standard Poodle, Winston. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, O. Delmont Spencer Jr.; her son, Ricky Spencer and wife Althea; two grandchildren, Hunter and Amy Spencer; brothers, Gary Mushrow and Kenneth Lawton; sisters, Betty Rackliffe, Connie Howes, and Gloria Leonard. The family would like to acknowledge Justin Holbrook as a very special friend who would often visit Jean and Delmont. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by siblings, Robert “Bob” Mushrow, Phil Mushrow, Paul Mushrow, and Helen Severence. A Service of Remembrance will be held 11 AM, Monday, December 18, at the Hampden-Glipatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave, Hampden. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
