Obituary for Edward Spencer Neil

Edward Spencer  Neil
Bangor – Edward S. Neil, 85, died after a lengthy illness October 10, 2017, at a Bangor hospital. He was born September 14, 1932, in Brewer, the son of Clifford and Winona (Sawyer) Neil.

Ed graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1950. Following graduation he served in the U. S. Army, where he was honorably discharged at Ft. Sill OK. Ed retired from Coca-Cola after more than 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, and thoroughly enjoyed being with family, gardening, and hunting. When he was younger Ed enjoyed playing the violin, as his mother accompanied him on the piano. He will be remembered as a devoted family man.

In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Higgins; and step grandson, Matthew Burnes. He is survived by his loving wife, Winona R. Neil; children, Winona Burnes and husband, David, and Debbie Dalzell and husband, John; grandchildren, Carrie Patterson, Allen Easley, and Daniel Easley; stepgrandchildren, Seth Burnes and Katie Burnes; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private for the family.
