Maurice “Mo” F. Glidden, 93, passed away March 23, 2017. He was born in Bangor, January 10, 1924, son of Edwin and Phyllis Glidden.
He was a WW II Veteran, serving in the army and air force. Mo worked in shoe factories and operated his own automotive repair garage. He enjoyed horse racing, being at the lake, fishing, hunting and playing his guitar. Mo had a band known as Curly Glidden and the Haymakers. He was inducted into the Maine Country Hall of Fame in 2009.
Surviving are, his wife, Pam Glidden; step-children, Jennifer Giarrizzo and her husband, Pat, of Monmouth and Heather Curry Greene and her husband, Scott of Caribou; step-grandchildren, Kelscee Curry, Emily and Logan Cleaveland and a great grandson, Hadlee Howes; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Norman Murray.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until time of service. Spring interment with military honors will be held at the Northern Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Caribou.
