June (Clements) Bates, 91, passed away August 12, 2016. She was born in Hermon, April 12, 1925, daughter of Thomas and Grace (Ryder) Clements.
She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, gardening and keeping her home “spic and span” inside and out. June enjoyed being by the water and boat rides with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Erwin Bates and siblings, Gertrude Smith, Esther Leavitt, Bernice Burke, Chester Clements and Richard Clements.
Surviving are a son, Myron Bates and his wife, Holly of Benedicta, a daughter, Dorothy Bates and her husband, David Jones of Shapleigh and Jensen Beach, FL.; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Donna, Deborah and David; great grandchildren, Patrisha, Dana, Jasjit, Kaushalya, Amber and Autumn; 5 great, great grandchildren; a sister, Janet Brown of Swanville; many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors.
Private interment will be in Knowlton Cemetery, Newburgh.
