Obituary for Myron Errol McLaughlin

Myron Errol McLaughlin, 78, passed away June 5, 2016, at his home. He was born in Lincoln, May 31, 1938, son of Clayton and Olive (Young) McLaughlin.
Myron was a very simple, hardworking man who believed in taking care of his family. “Humble and Kind.” He enjoyed giving his grandchildren rides in his 1930 Model A Ford, as well as Sunday dump runs with his children riding on the back of his “Orange and Black” 1946 Chevy pickup.
He honorably served his country in the US Army as a truck driver from 1961 to 1963, earning his sharpshooter badge.
Myron began working at age 16 at Campbell’s Bakery, in Brewer. He also worked at Getchell Brother’s Ice and Gosselin’s Bakery. Myron eventually purchased Campbell’s Bakery in 1975 and operated it until his retirement in 1995.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Sandra J. (Campbell) McLaughlin, of Brewer; three children, Percy “Clay” McLaughlin, and his wife, Sandy of Topsham, Scott A. McLaughlin and his wife, Tina of Bangor, Kelly J. Kobrin and her husband, Dave of Orrington; six grandchildren, Janalyn and Julissa McLaughlin, Trevor R. Stitham, Coty, Tiffani and Tabitha McLaughlin; one precious great grandson, Connor McLaughlin; sisters, Shelda Milner of Lincoln, Linda Batchelder of Lowell, Marilyn Theriault of Claremont, N.H., several nieces and nephews; his “second mother” Eva Babson of Brewer.
He was predeceased by his sister, Elaine West.
Private graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
