Obituary for Francis William Randall

Francis W. Randall III, Bradford, loving husband and Dad went home to be with his Lord on Sunday October 4, 2015.
Frank, born in Easton Massachusetts on May 2, 1933, the son of Francis and Hazel (DeMaranville) Randall, grew up in Easton, MA, attended Easton Public Schools, served in the Army during the Korean War, and worked as a machinist.
Frank married in 1955 to Elaine Elsie Schofield of Easton. In 1970 moving his family to Bradford, continued a career in machine tool at Bangor and Aroostook Railroad and switched to teaching machine shop at United Technology Center in Bangor for 18 years, before entering retirement.
He was a faithful member and trustee of the Bradford Baptist Church. His favorite passage John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same will bring forth much fruit. For without him ye can do nothing.”
Frank served his community well: as Fire Chief of the Bradford Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years, serving on many local committees, and was a Deputy Constable of Penobscot County.
Frank enjoyed his family and friends, having coffee with his late brother Melvin, working in his own machine shop, snow sledding and puttering around in the yard.
He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine; sons, James (wife Lisa) of Pittsburgh, PA, Jeffery (wife Rebekah) of Bradford, and Kenneth of Brockton, MA; grandchildren, Nathan (wife Joni) New Hartford, CT, Jaime of Newington, CT, Nicholas (wife Ashleigh) West Bath, Alan of Brewer, Karly of Brockton, MA and Drew of Pembroke, MA and Joe of Bradford; great grandchildren, William, Addyson, Kadence and Alayna; sister, Florence Williams of Easton, MA, and many nieces and nephews; family friends, Denise and Brianna. Frank is predeceased by his sister, Vivian; brother, Melvin; and daughter in law, Melanie.
Memorial services with fellowship following will be held at Bradford Baptist Church, 461 Main Road, Bradford, 2pm, Saturday October 10, 2015.
