Stephen A. Stout, 60, died September 26, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Bangor, October 10, 1954, son of Stephen F. and Dorinda M. (Grant) Stout.
He was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1974, and a graduate of EMCC, food service program, where he trained to be a chef.
Stephen was a devoted volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital, giving more than 9,000 hours of service.
Surviving are his mother, Dorinda; a sister, Helen Dunphy; a brother, Dale Stout and his wife, Sandra and their two children, Stephen and Joshua; a niece, Christina Adams and her husband, Ryan and their two children, Braedon and William.
He was predeceased by his father and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where relatives and friends are invited to call 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the services.
