Obituary for Helen Clara Bonder

Helen Clara Bonder, 94, passed away July 26, 2015, at a Howland health care facility. She was born August 9, 1920, in Old Town the daughter of Leo and Gladys (Bouchard) St. Louis.

Helen owned and operated for many years her own restaurant called Helens on Hammond Street in Bangor where she was known for award winning pastries and great food.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter “Cappy” Bonder; two sons, Reggie Strout Jr. and Harold Strout. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sandra Strout; four grandchildren, Reggie Strout III, Scout Strout, Michele Phillips, and Stacey Strout.


Funeral services will be held graveside, 10 AM, Thursday, July 30, at Highland Cemetery, Carmel. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
