Dallas A. “Junior” Harriman Jr., 64, of Winterport, Maine passed away March 28th, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Junior was born March 31, 1950 in Belfast, ME, a son of late Dallas and Beatrice (nee Harvey) Harriman.
Junior dedicated his life to his passion for honest, fair hard work and the drive to achieve the American Dream by establishing and co-owning Harriman Brother’s Construction Company. He also was involved in his community by serving multiple terms as a Selectman for the Town of Winterport, ME.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (nee Harvey) of Winterport; two sons, Wayne (Susan) of Bettendorf, IA and Shawn Brown (Elizabeth) of Hodgdon, ME. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Kelsey, Bryce, Brennan, Lydia, and Ian as well as brothers, Ralph (Sue), Mark (late Rose), and Doyle. He was preceded in death by siblings Charlotte, John, Kenneth, Walter and Wilbur.
Junior was a friendly and loving man who would do anything for anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor to know him.
Junior has requested no funeral, but the family will host a celebration of Junior’s life on his birthday Tuesday, March 31st at Nealley’s Corner Church, 1260 Kennebec Rd, Hampden, ME from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
