Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marilyn Crocker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Marilyn Jane Crocker

HOLDEN – Marilyn J. (Annis) Crocker, 80, died March 17, 2015 at a Bangor hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 26, 1934 in Bangor, daughter of Donald F. and Selina (Tardy) Annis.

Marilyn was a graduate of Bangor High School and Eastern Academy Beauty School. She loved her family, enjoyed gardening, cooking, and knitting. The Shrine was a very important part of her life and she was very active alongside her husband, Sonny.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Harold “Sonny” Crocker of Holden, are three daughters: Donna Rolland and her husband, John of Holden, Lorrie Hopkins and Rodney of Hampden and Carole Dowling and her husband, Bruce of Holden; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Tracy and her husband, Valmore, one brother, Donald F. Annis, all of Florida; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 to 8pm Friday, March 20, 2015 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor where a funeral service will be held 11am Saturday March 21st with the Rev. Dr. James L. Haddix, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish to remember Marilyn in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Shrine Hospital for Children, C/O Anah Shrine Center, 586 Main Street, Bangor, ME 04401.
