Obituary for Gary Brandon Page

Gary B. Page, 67, passed away suddenly, October 12, 2014, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Bangor, August 29, 1947, the son of Phillip and Anita (Murphy) Page.
Gary spent most of his early years growing up in New Hampshire. He spent many enjoyable summers in Maine with his grandparents on Pushaw Lake. When he graduated high school, Gary attended the University of Maine in Orono, where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in History. After college, he taught History in Milo for a short time, then worked for a sheltered workshop in Belfast, and later spent 15 years working for the State of Maine as a Supervisor for the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Gary was a true character who could engage anyone with his sense of humor. He loved to help people, volunteering his services for many different organizations. He spent long hours working for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Coles Land Transportation Museum, the Fields Pond Audobon Society and Eastern Area Agency on Aging. Gary never focused on himself, preferring instead to focus on helping others. Gary’s warm personality gained him many friends over the years, and all who knew him will miss him greatly.
Gary was predeceased by his parents. Gary is survived by his wife, Linda Quirion of Old Town; his brother, Raymond Page of Glenburn; and his sisters, Patricia McGinnis of Ohio and Sara Andrews of Florida.
