Obituary for Frederick Merrill Webster

Holden
Fred Webster, 73, passed away October 6, 2014, with his family by his side, after a brief illness. He was born February 8, 1941 in Bangor and raised by his grandmother, Ella Jipson, in Holden.
Fred was a graduate of Brewer High School, class of 1960. He was employed by the City of Bangor Public Works Department, and retired in 1993 after 25 years.
Fred was a lifelong resident of Holden and an active volunteer with the Holden Fire Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and talking to folks. In the last several years he looked forward to winters in Florida away from the Maine snow.
Surviving are, his wife of 48 years, Pamela M. Webster; two sons, James Webster and his wife, Cindy of Benicia, CA, Scott Webster and his husband Peter Black of Boston, MA; sister, Donna Perry of Marietta, GA.; brother, Leigh Wilkinson and his wife Cheryl of Winthrop; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friend are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Friday October 10, 2014 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St. Brewer, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday October 11, 2014. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments following the service. Private interment will be in Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden.
