Obituary for Floyd Linwood Norwood

ORRINGTON – Floyd L. Norwood, 89, passed away Monday April 21, 2014 at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born February 17, 1925, the son of Chester and Gertrude (Hodgdon) Norwood. Floyd worked for forty five years at Eastern Fine Paper and when he was not working loved spending time at the camp on Toddy Pond. He is survived by his wife of sixty seven years Dorothy (Beal) Norwood, two daughters, Patsy Harger and her husband Jack of Wheatridge, CO, Nancy Norwood of Orrington, a grandson Brian Phillips, three great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, as well as a sister Helen Costigan and her husband David of Orrington. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters, a grandson Sean Phillips, and a great granddaughter Stephanie Phillips. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Marston Cemetery, Orrington. A service of the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith 55 South Main St., Brewer.
