Obituary for Dawn Carol Strout

ORONO - Dawn Carol Strout, 68, died March 31, 2014, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 10, 1946, in Newburgh, N.Y., daughter of Donald J. and Mildred E. (Foulkes) Strout.She was a 1969 graduate of the University of Arizona. Dawn taught at Dexter high school and retired from Athol Royalston Regional High School in Athol, MA. She truly enjoyed her teaching career, and when in Maine her day trips to the coast with family and friends. Dawn attended the Faith Baptist Church of Orono.Surviving are cousins, Joe and Joan Davis of Brewer, Larry Strout of Milo, Paul and Gail Foulkes of Williamsburg.A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, Orono, with Pastor David Natale officiating. Spring interment will be in the Brownville Village Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the church fellowship hall, immediately following the service. Those who wish to remember Dawn in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 44 Orono, 04473.
